  1. How did you feel about your career before coaching? What challenge were you facing?

I felt quite lost in my career when I started coaching, I had achieved a lot of the goals I set myself when I was younger but not only was I not feeling fulfilled by career, I was overwhelmed and feeling burnt out. My personal circumstances had changed significantly over the last 5 years and I needed help to give my career a reset and put in a plan for the next 10 years.

  1. How did coaching help you?

The career energiser really helped me, I enjoyed the structured approach and planning of each session, I felt safe in the process which allowed me to focus on myself and really think deeply and reflect about what I wanted to do next. It was good to reconnect to what I felt was important to my career as well as considering and appreciating my own skill set. I find it helpful to be held to account by a good plan! As someone that has a demanding job and home life I often put others needs before my own and then never quite find time to get to myself. The career energiser kept me on track and I finished the programme confident in my plan for the next steps of my career and feeling committed to achieve them.

  1. What would you say to anyone thinking about having career coaching and working with me?

If you feel stuck in a rut or unhappy with your current career or if your career has gone through a sudden change and you are not sure what to do next then career change coaching is a great investment of time.

We spend years at school and further education considering and building foundations to our career and then we never seem to get that kind sort of time again. Circumstances can change dramatically as we get older so taking some time midway through your career to reset things and plan the next part of your life feels like common sense. I think we can forget that we have choices and career change coaching brings that back into perspective.

Why would you recommend me as a coach?

Sarah's approach is warm, friendly and supportive and this makes sessions enjoyable and fun. Sarah also gives lots of support between sessions to keep you on track.  It was very helpful having Sarah to listen to me and challenge me where necessary, often helping me see things from a different perspective. I have already recommended Sarah to other people who are feeling lost in their career plans.
